General terms and conditions of sale – visit/restaurant

The company SARL COLIN, located at 43 route de Clairmarais in Saint-Omer, with a capital of €5.000, registered with the Trade and Companies Register of Boulogne-sur-Mer (SIRET 530 094 028 00012), represented by Mr. Rémy COLIN, in his capacity as manager,

The user booking a tour of the marsh via the platform accessible on lesfaiseursdebateaux.fr is hereinafter referred to as the client.

I – Services and prices

Through its booking platform, COLIN SARL offers various services, namely:

– Rental of rowboats, electric motorboats or canoes for organized tours within the Audomarois marsh

– A visit to the shipyard combined with a guided tour of the marsh by flat-bottomed boat (duration: 1 hour 30 minutes)

– Organizing themed visits (photography, zen, etc.)

The durations and prices are stated on the booking platform in euros including VAT.

COLIN SARL also offers various on-site services, such as the provision of Flemish games, a bar dedicated to local drinks…

Finally, the company organizes group visits (schools, works councils, associations) on a quote basis, which can include guided tours, discoveries of the workshop, a visit to an organic farming field, meals on the terrace and on the water…

II – Cancellation/Modification Policy

Regarding group services that are subject to a quote and a contract: refer to the specific conditions.

For tours booked and paid for through this booking and payment platform, any cancellation made less than 12 hours before the scheduled departure time will not be refunded. Conversely, customers are entitled to a full refund for cancellations made more than 12 hours before the scheduled departure time. Please note that refunds are automatically credited to the customer's bank account within 5 to 10 days via our Stripe payment platform.

It is also possible for the customer to modify the reservation (time, date, content…) up to 12 hours before the departure time.

III – Place to visit

For all types of outings, unless otherwise stated, the Boat Builders invite their customers to meet at the reception area located on their quay.

The postal address is 43 route de Clairmarais 62500 Saint-Omer. To access the quay, simply cross over the Mathilde bridge located 50 m from 43 route de Clairmarais (this bridge is located near a bus stop), continue for about a hundred meters and access the parking lots on the right.

IV – Ordering procedures

To order/book a guided tour, simply select the desired tour type, departure date, and times based on availability. Once the tour and any optional extras have been selected, the customer has access to a secure payment platform (Stripe) for credit card payment. Upon payment, the customer receives a booking confirmation email. This email includes a summary of the agreed terms, details of the booked tours, and the final price paid online. This email serves as an invoice for individual customers. The customer will also receive a reminder before the tour begins. A button in these emails allows customers to cancel or modify their booking within the specified timeframe (see Article VI).

For reservations made by phone, a summary of the booked visits is sent to the customer by email. Payment can be made on site by credit card or cash.

V – Withdrawal Periods

Booking a boat trip or purchasing a gift voucher through this platform is considered a distance selling transaction, and therefore the customer has a 14-day cooling-off period in accordance with the Consumer Code. Even if this period is respected, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised if:

– The outing has been completed

The exit was supposed to take place, but the customer did not show up at the platform to use it.

– The time slots were reserved for the client, but they cancelled less than 12 hours before departure. The service includes not only the outing itself, but also the reservation of a specific time slot for the client.

In accordance with the Consumer Code, it is customary to exercise one's right of withdrawal via a form to be returned by any means to the SARL, mentioning the name, surname, address of the customer, reservation number as well as a free text expressing the customer's wish to withdraw.

However, it remains easier to use the platform's cancellation function to cancel an outing and get a refund. NO LATER THAN 12 HOURS BEFORE DEPARTURE.

V – Disclaimer of Liability

On site, the Boat Makers decline all responsibility for theft or damage to clothing and other personal belongings.

The client thus ensures that valuables are not left unattended. They will also equip themselves according to the current weather conditions and the planned outing, namely, a boat or canoe trip in the Audomarois marsh.

Children must remain under the supervision of a parent/adult.

 VI – Personal Information – GDPR

In accordance with European data protection regulations and the French Data Protection Act of 1978 (amended on June 20, 2018), the buyer (acting as a private individual) has the right to information, access, modification, objection, rectification, withdrawal, and data portability regarding their personal data. By agreeing to these terms and conditions of sale, the buyer consents to the seller collecting and using their data for the necessary performance of this contract. Specifically, we collect the buyer's name, surname, email address, and purchased services in order to book tours and process invoices, send booking/cancellation confirmations and payment requests by email, send reminders before the day of the tour, and contact the customer afterward to allow them to provide feedback. Our website also uses cookies to improve the user experience. These cookies can, in particular, enable faster loading times and remember certain data to facilitate future bookings. Bank details, however, are not stored. We also use cookies to generate anonymized statistics.

COLIN SARL undertakes not to transmit any of this data to any partners or to use it for commercial purposes.

VI – Complaints

VII – Confirmation Email

To ensure your reservation is processed correctly, you should receive an automatic confirmation email. Please check your inbox and, if necessary, your spam folder.

If you pay online: Some banks may occasionally have issues with online payments, but this is very rare. If you do not receive an automated message from us with your booking summary, please call us as soon as possible at 0608099488 or send us a quick email to lesfaiseursdebateaux@gmail.com

VIII – Intellectual Property

All content on the Boat Builders website (texts, photographs, graphic elements, logo, layout, etc.) is protected by intellectual property law.
The texts are, for the most part, written by Jérémie FLANDRINThe photographs published on the site are by the following authors, depending on the case: The Boat Builders, Philippe Hudelle, Philippe Hudelle – SPL Tourisme en Pays de Saint-Omer ou Laure Decoster.
