So that you are not left alone facing the labyrinth of land and water that is the Saint-Omer marsh, you will have a map and a choice of 3 circuits allowing you to approach the Saint-Omer marsh differently.
This circuit invites you to discover, on a free visit, part of the suburb of Lyzel, so typical with its small traditional houses at the edge of the water. You will also benefit from an exceptional panorama of the city of Saint-Omer seen from the marshes, on the river called "the little Meer".
Then take the direction of the bell tower of the Haut-Pont church and go up the suburb to Doulac, taking the peaceful Stackelwaert and Potelwaert rivers. Once in this district, which acts as a gateway between the city and the marshes, you will take wider and sometimes busier rivers, but revealing all the sumptuousness, even the magic of these places: the Grand Leecke and the Grande Meer.
A great 2-hour tour by electric boat or canoe allowing you to appreciate the monuments of Saint-Omer, Lyzel, the Haut-Pont, the Doulac, the cauliflower fields… In short, the ultra complete tour!

A shorter version of the Noordbroek circuit, it allows you to discover the different facets of the marsh: the low-lying marshland, organized into ridges to manage flooding; the cultivated marshland; and also the wild marshland around the ponds… The route begins and ends in the inhabited marshland, the suburb of Lyzel, famous for its traditional houses and typical little bridges.
