Every last Sunday of the month at 8am, embark with Philippe Hudelle for a beautiful 2-hour morning and/or photographic walk through the Saint-Omer marsh.
Who does not know Philippe Hudelle! This autodidact has been crisscrossing the Audomarois marshes since 2014 to delight us with his photographs which he publishes on his page “Balade en Audomarois”. He is also the author of several works available in good local bookstores, including “Audomarois, les Marais” and “From Saint-Omer to Aire-sur-la-Lys”. Originally from Tatinghem, Philippe is a true lover of the region's landscapes and photography. Over the course of his walks, he refined his techniques: working with light, sublimating a panorama, … But above all, adopting a state of mind specific to the photographer to capture the scenes that present themselves at the right time. Indeed, to be a photographer, you have to have an eye!
In partnership with Les Faiseurs de Bateaux (The Boat Builders), Philippe invites you to join him on his boat trip on the last Sunday of each month. From 8:00 am, at sunrise, the light is perfect for photography… This is the perfect opportunity to bring your DSLR, lenses, compact or bridge camera, and embark on a traditional flat-bottomed boat for a fascinating and unique two-hour excursion. Prices: €15/adult, €10/child under 13. Reservations recommended.
Duration 2 hours
Every last Sunday of the month
This morning boat trip to Saint-Omer is an original way to appreciate this natural space in a different way.
In the morning, the land and the rivers seem to belong only to the wild fauna, as well as to the market gardeners tending their fields and cutting the cauliflower with a knife.
On the occasion of our unusual visit to the marsh in the morning, observe nature waking up, the mist hovering over the water, the ballet of swans and ducks... A visual and auditory spectacle within the bacôve equipped a quiet electric motor. This route will also allow you to discover the typical suburbs of Lyzel, the market gardening suburb of Haut-Pont, the inhabited marsh and the wild marsh, but also the cultivated marshes!
They loved it!

We had a great time at the boat builders. I highly recommend this activity. The guides are passionate and friendly. It's interesting, enjoyable, and the smell of boat wood and the natural marshland is wonderful. I plan on sending my friends and family there!

It was great, the children had "the best day of their lives" in their words. The team is very attentive and educational, the explanations and demonstrations are very well thought out, which allows the children to learn a lot of things! The walk is also very relaxing, I highly recommend it.
